Coach Stroud started coaching girls track and field at Iowa City West in 2017 and coached for 4 seasons before taking a couple years off to spend time with her young kids before returning in 2023 for her 5th season. Coach Stroud is once again back for her 6th season with the team. Prior to Coach Stroud’s coaching career, she ran track for 4 years at ICW (2007-2010) under the direction of Coach Parker where she contributed to 3 team state championships and 1 team state runner-up finish. Her focus in high school was short springs (100s and 200s) where she spends most of her time working with current athletes. She excelled in sprint relays where she broke many meet records during her career, scored in state meet each year with her relays, and in 2009, broke the Drake Relays 4x100m record.

Following high school, Coach Stroud went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Iowa. Coach Stroud works for the University of Iowa Center for Advancement as an Assistant Director of Development for the Neuroscience and Otolaryngology programs where she focuses her time fundraising for UI Healthcare working with grateful patients, alumni and friends of Iowa.  Coach Stroud is married and has 3 children – Brixley (5), Chesney (4), and Boden (3). She enjoys traveling with her family, especially to the beach, reading, and spending as many hours outside as possible.
